• Account details such as email address and login information.
• Child profile details entered by a parent or guardian, such as a child’s name, age, story preferences, themes, family members or pets.
• Story prompts, generated stories, saved stories and story sharing information.
• App preferences, subscription status, Parent Voice credit status and basic usage information.
• Technical information such as device type, app version, errors, logs and crash reports used to improve stability.

2. Parent Voice and Voice Recording Data

PillowTales may allow a parent or guardian to record short voice samples so personalised narration can be created for bedtime stories.

• Voice recordings and related voice model data are used only to provide Parent Voice narration within PillowTales.
• Parent Voice is intended for use by adults who have permission to provide the recorded voice.
• Voice data is not sold to third parties.
• You may request deletion of voice data by contacting support, or by using account deletion features where available.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use information to provide and improve PillowTales, including to:

• Create personalised bedtime stories.
• Generate and play narration, including Parent Voice where selected.
• Save stories in your library and support story sharing features.
• Manage free usage limits, subscriptions and Parent Voice credits.
• Provide customer support, safety checks, troubleshooting and app improvements.
• Understand website and app performance through analytics.

4. Children’s Privacy

PillowTales is designed for parents and guardians to create stories for children. Children do not need to create accounts or provide personal information directly. Parents and guardians control the information entered into the app and should only enter appropriate details for story personalisation.

5. AI, Narration and Service Providers

PillowTales uses third-party service providers to operate the app, including cloud hosting, authentication, database storage, analytics, subscriptions, AI story generation and text-to-speech narration. These providers process information only as needed to provide the service, improve reliability, support purchases or comply with legal obligations.

Purchases and subscriptions are handled through the Apple App Store, Google Play and RevenueCat. Payment details are processed by the app stores, not directly by PillowTales.

6. Website Analytics

The PillowTales website may use analytics tools such as Google Analytics to understand visits, traffic sources and performance. This helps us improve the website and marketing. The website is separate from the mobile app runtime.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep information only for as long as needed to provide PillowTales, support accounts, meet legal obligations, maintain safety and improve the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data. Deleting an account may remove account information, stored stories, voice data, child profiles and preferences where applicable.

8. Your Rights

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No online service can guarantee complete security, but privacy and safety are treated as core product requirements for PillowTales.
