PillowTales is for parents
For younger children, the aim is simple: head on the pillow and listen while the parent controls the app. Older children can read along, build confidence or read in one language while listening in another.
Every story is created for your child’s exact age. A three-year-old does not receive the same vocabulary, structure, humour or challenge as a seven-year-old — and a twelve-year-old is not given a story written for a nine-year-old.
Gentle language, simple adventures, reassuring repetition and warm endings designed for listening with their head on the pillow.
More dialogue, humour, richer adventures and stories that can support reading confidence and everyday life lessons.
Age-appropriate vocabulary, deeper plots, bigger challenges and stories that respect older children’s growing interests.
Older children can read in English while listening in Spanish, or choose another combination across English, Spanish, French, German and Italian.
PillowTales is not designed to place another app in a young child’s hands before sleep. The parent creates the story and chooses how it is enjoyed.
Use suggested options or tap Custom to describe exactly what you want: a favourite adventure, a family event, or something your child is finding difficult to understand.
Stories can help children explore difficult ideas in a safe and understandable way. PillowTales can weave a parent’s chosen lesson into an age-appropriate adventure without turning bedtime into a lesson or diagnosis.
Choose a suggested theme or moral, or use Custom to explain the situation in your own words.
Vocabulary, pacing, humour, plot and emotional complexity are adjusted to your child’s exact age.
Read it yourself, use Parent Voice, choose a built-in narrator, or let an older child read along.
